I am a stripper

I have been a stripper in Melbourne for almost three years.

In this job I have meet a lot of really interesting people.

I am a stripper to help pay my way through college

Of course, it’s easy to say that

But I think that I am a stripper

Because I like doing it.

When I was in High School

Long before I moved here

I was a stripper at an Elementary School in Morenci Michigan

Now I’m a stripper at Ozarka Community College

in Melbourne Arkansas

Stripping is a seasonal job

We only strip in the summers

Because that’s when the students are gone

After we strip the wax off of the floors

We clean them real good

Then we put a fresh coat of wax on them

Once the wax dries for a few days

we get out our big buffers and we polish the floors to a high shine

When the students come back they don’t really even notice

But the staff usually comments on how nice the floors look

The rest of the year we sweep, mop and buff the floors

As well as take out the trash

We also help set up and tear down for events at the college

Most of the other things that we do

Are just a job

But buffing the floors is my favorite

Stripping is hard work

But it makes you feel real good when you see the floors shine

And you know that you made it happen

So after all of this writing

I think I have proven my point

I am a stripper in Melbourne
