Hard Decisions

Hard Decisions

We have seven vehicles

Only the motorcycle is drivable at the moment

And the tires on the front is so bad that we are in danger

I have the money to fix one vehicle

The truck would make us money

And Mandy can drive it to work by herself

But it gets 16 miles per gallon

The blazer just needs a break line

It should be easy but we have to do the whole insurance and plates thing

And we can’t haul scrap

So it won’t make us any money

The bike is a quick fix

But it is $130 for the tire

So as tires stores go

Out the door, the price will probably be $160

We can’t make money with the bike

But we have to get Mandy to work safely

For the next 3 days

The other vehicles will take several days to fix

So many of you out there that are poor know

You stay in the cycle

And remain poor

By doing what you have to, to survive

Which in our case

Will probably mean getting the bike tire

When all logic points to the pickup truck

Being the vehicle that should be fixed

I have a couple of ideas

But as usual

They are a gamble

We will do what we have to, to survive

But I have a real bad feeling about today

And the front tire of the bike

It has been bothering me since Thursday

I just feel like today we may have something bad happen

I don’t fear for myself

I have had a full life

And I am tired

But I do fear for Mandy

More than likely

It will all be ok

It may just be a combination of being without the diet pills

And recovering from the party at Mandy’s parents house

But I have a feeling of despair

I hope it lifts soon.
