Oh Dante, you foolish, foolish man
Oh Dante, you foolish, foolish man
Any god that you have to fear is not worth your loyalty
I lived in fear most of my young life
And none that stood up to rule
With an iron fist
Ever received one moment of respect from me
A former friend said that one day I would fear god
My reply to him is this
I will never worship any being that I have to fear
Nor will I respect them
And if there is a hell
And it is my destiny to go there
I will not go as a punished child
I will go as a victim
A victim of a ruthless, overbearing, unforgiving being
That does not deserve the position that he holds.
God, the father
Is just that
He is a father
And any child knows that a father that ruled out of fear
Was, on the inside, only a child himself
To say that the wisest and all knowing being in the universe
Would be insecure and petty enough to threaten you into submission
Is to miss the point entirely
A good leader is followed out of respect
And a leader that is respected
Will have many followers that are willing to lay down their lives for him
And any man who fears god
Obviously doesn’t know him.
(God is referred to here, in the Masculine. But I do not believe that God has genitals. If he can reproduce without intercourse and he doesn’t need to eat or drink, then he probably doesn’t need to go pee, this would make a penis or a vagina something that would just be useless and I can’t imagine that a being that was all knowing would create himself with something on his body that didn’t serve a purpose. It’s just illogical, oh and by the way, I can’t imagine a being that would be floating out in the ethereal mists to even have a body. What would be the point?)
