When confronted with a bully in school
When confronted with a bully in school, we had 4 options.
1. Turn them in
2. Punch them square in the nose
3. If your old enough, quit school
4. Give them your lunch money
What do you do with a bully when you are grown up?
1. We turned them in and the police can’t stop them.
2. If we attack them to get them to stop then we get in trouble. That would only escalate things anyway. This isn’t an option.
3. The equivalent of quitting school is moving. I won’t do that. I have too much invested to do that.
4. So my only option is to give them my lunch money. I am going to offer them $50 a month to leave us alone.
a. This includes not making up anything and calling the police, that harassment needs to stop.
b. No more taking our animals to the pound if they happen to go in to their yard. We won’t get any more cats because they are hard to keep in the yard. Our house cat would go out to go potty and I guess she saw her opportunity and took it. We do everything we can to stop our animals from going over there. Our Jack Rustle gets out some times but I don’t think she can catch him. The payment will include the rule that she has to refrain from taking our animals to the pound.
c. She can continue to threaten to kill our animals as long as she doesn’t really do it. I understand that she has a problem and we can deal with that. We just stay inside when they are in their yard. The payment will include her not harming our animals.
d. The payment will include them staying out of our yard and not altering our property what so ever.
e. The payment will include not standing out behind her house when nobody else is looking and trying to stare us down. This shouldn’t be a problem because we leave the yard when she is out there except when we have no choice.
They haven’t done anything since Mr. Rush from the highway dept talked to them but it is only a matter of time. I will go to a lawyer and have him draw up some kind of contract. If they will stop all of these things I will give them the $50 a month.
