Another slap in the face to educators

I found out that there is school; it’s another slap in the face to our educators just like when they slapped the veterans in the face veteran’s day. Why do the teachers put up with it. That’s 2 holidays that they have to work. Most of them have a BA and they have to work on federal holidays while janitors and secretaries in federal buildings get a holiday and the janitors don't even require a high school diploma. People that work in banks don't need a BA in most cases and they get the day off. Postal workers only have to pass a civil service test and they get the holidays off.

Educators shape our children's lives and get very low wages for the amount of work that most of them put into their lesson plans and homework grading. How do we reward them?  We don’t, plain and simple. We take from them. It’s disgraceful.

the powers that be need to advertise - maybe it will encourage people to become teachers

Spend four years in college,

become a teacher,

get a slap in the face
