Woven in to everything

The shock came

It literally ripped me out of the mesh

It was like a Band-Aid ripping across your skin

Except I was the Band-Aid

And the cosmic energy of life itself

was what I was being ripped from

It left a hole in time and space

The shape of my body

It was such a jagged feeling

Like running your finger along the serrated edge of a knife

Feeling every minuscule tear as it’s made.
