Characteristics of a scoundrel materialize

Forming the portrait of a villain

 

 

The devils own

Hidden behind the eyes of a friend

kindness, his lure

 

 

the illusion so intense

that all but those who know the truth

are oblivious to the possibility

that a monster lies beneath the surface

 

 

the ignorant are but sustenance

to be consumed at its leisure

without a thought or even an awareness of their existence

consumption just is

as if there were never anything else

but the absorption

 

 

The show must go on

Even as the leviathan looms

Just behind the scenes

 

 

The fat man walks toward the stage

Prepared for his final performance

 

 

Surrounded by those that love him

He stands alone

The curtain rises

 

 

The show begins

 

 

A voice, not his own

Bellows forth from his chest

Reforming the innocent soul

Into an angel brought forth from the dust

 

 

She has waited so long

And he is finally free

 

 

He collapses on the stage

The curtain falls
