Grey Areas

Grey Areas

The younger that we are

the more confident that we

are about what we KNOW to be true.

As time goes on

experience changes those willing to learn new things

The lessons teach us that there isn't a right way

There are only the ways that each of us were taught.

Some ways work better than others

but once we learn

that there is more than one way to skin a cat

life gets better

and there is less tension and anger within us

Living next to

or working with

somebody that is certain that their way is the only way

can be a true test of one’s maturity

it can also be a source of unbelievable stress.

Sometimes it is better to relocate

Or change jobs

If that person is too overbearing

Black and white thinking is sometimes a result

Of a dysfunctional childhood

It can be an attempt by the individual

To control the world around them

Because the things that happened when they were a child, were so far beyond their control

this can be caused by

molestation

dysfunctional parents

abuse

or something as simple

as having no stability in their life

or moving all of the time

by not seeking help for this problem

they create an unpleasant feeling

for most people that interact with them

this can also lead to their own children becoming black and white thinkers

which will lower their quality of life.

The world is made up of grey areas

To deny that

Puts us out of sync with the world around us.
