Thank God for fever induced hallucinations,

last night God must have known that I needed someone.

I spent the whole night with an amazing lady

There wasn’t any sex but she was there

and I could tell by her eyes that she really loved me

when her family said something bad about me

she stood up to them

when someone tried to take her away from me, she chose me

I know there aren’t any real women like that

But I am so grateful for the flu right now.

I needed something to believe in again even if it is only make believe

I am starting to hate reality so much

I have decided that when I grow up

I want to live in a magical land

where love is real

and mommies and daddies don’t leave

and they protect the children instead of hurting them

I want to live in a magic land

Where kids aren’t raped and murdered

And criminals actually stay in jail when they are arrested

I want to live in a world where the rich kids

Have to drive the messed up cars and the poor kids get the corvettes

I want to live in a world where you can go to the doctor when your sick

 and you don’t have to spend the next three years paying for it.

Oh, man, now I know I’m dreaming

Being able to go to the doctor

I must still be hallucinating.
