Entangled with You

Entangled with You

Fading in and out of the ethereal mist

Tears come for no reason

images form in my mind

blood on the road

blue lights flashing

it isn't real

reality snaps back

trees pass

our car gently consumes the road in front of it

I don't look back

there isn't anything behind me

nothing at all

mind slips back to that other place

I slide the three fifty seven in to my belt

light fades to dark

city streets

attitude

hunting for bad guys

dealers or pedo's

it doesn't matter which

someone's dying tonight

fog comes from the alley

surrounds me

consumes me

I'm driving once again

Teeth clenched

Jaws aching

grass

trees

sunshine

I slip again

Grampa's gone

eyes moisten

the mist again

music

car

road

fading horizon

another world

My fingers tangled in your hair

pulling gently but firmly

the sound of your breathing

brings sanity to a troubled mind

sweat glistens

arms and legs intertwined

Tomorrow's Sunday

road again

driving

music up

missed my turn

might as well go in to town
