Does she stand by you

even when she would like to run screaming in to the night

does she help ground you

when all you can think about are the old ways

and the old days

and the freedom of the open road

does she hold you in place

when the tsunami of life tries to wash you away

does she do all of this

while dealing with all that life has to throw at her

does she smile

even though she wants to cry

Does she go to work

when all that she wants to do is sleep

Does she help her patients through things that would break you and I

Does she do it all

and then come home to you

when the day is over?
