Oh sleep

you come to me
tease me with wonderful 2 hours

and leave me

what have I done to inspire your departure
why have you left me to the night
wide eyed and alone

please
I beg of you
treat me like calgon use to do

and take me away (that was a stretch even for me)

If I understand your humor
you'll stay gone
until its time to wake up
and you'll return with a vengeful tyrant
that leaves me exhausted
my heavy eyes will work with you
nothing will get done
and nap time will sound like a good idea
I'll sleep the day away
not accomplishing even one task that I had planned

What is it that you desire
What can I offer you to take me to the land of pillows and dreams
can your services be purchased

or is there nothing that I can do

and sleep replied

(Sleep explodes in a fireball that only I can see)
