It’s more than the pull of a trigger

You say “it’s a cop out”

You say “it’s wrong”

You say “You’ll go to hell”

And yet

You’re willing

to impose your desires

on them

pushing your beliefs

telling them that who they are

is wrong

“It’s an abomination”

“that isn’t really who you are”

“It’s a choice”

But what you don’t realize

Is that if they give up

And live the way

that you say they should

they’re dying on the inside

they effectively kill their spirit

their soul withers

and without losing their life

they kill themselves

So what’s better

To conform to your beliefs

And die inside

Or to pull the trigger

Either way

Dead is dead
