New Years Resolutions
My hope for mankind in 2012
I’ve come to realize that war is one thing that man cannot live without. No
matter how many of us move beyond the need for war there will always be enough
men that desire the cannons call.
I used to desire war. I lived to hate the enemy but over the years I’ve come to
understand that our enemies are people with children. They have hopes and
dreams. They hurt, they cry, they feel pain, they are just like us except for
their beliefs.
My hope for this New Year is that more of the young and naive come to
understand that war answers nothing, it isn’t really about the people who fight,
it’s about politicians, religion and money.
My resolutions come with explanations
1. As I enter 2012 I weigh 390 pounds,
that's more than I've ever weighed. That’s the weight of 3 small men. I've come
to realize over the last few weeks that if I don't lose weight, this will
probably be my last New Year. I'm ok with that I'm happy with my place in life
but I am going to work toward losing weight this year.
2. I need to get the business going this year. This
will be a turning point for our family. This year I leave behind my fears and
move ahead in to the reality of this world. My business has failed at least
three times in the past from lack of knowledge. I have spent the last five
years remedying that. I have studied, I will have my second degree by the end
of this year and I feel that I have enough knowledge to make it work now.
For this next year my focus will be on the following
· The completion of my business education
· Getting our business up and running.
· Getting stronger and getting back in to a better state of health
· Expanding my spiritual self and making my spirituality a priority.
· I will also reduce the clutter in our yard and no longer be embarrassed to have people stop by.
· I plan to be less critical of
others and disassociate with those that focus on the negative. This will also
include lessoning my exposure to news and politics and removing myself further
from the ways of “Civilized” man.
one more thing - I plan to take our business in a
natural direction. It has long been my desire to spend time in the woods and
reproduce some of nature’s beauty in silver and natural stones.
I hope that this will balance me spiritually as I move my focus toward making a profit. To me profit has
always been a negative word that I associate with the evils of mankind.
The profit will be closely monitored so as not to
become a priority. It will be a secondary result brought about because I'm
doing something that I love to do.
Over the next couple of weeks I will break these
resolutions down in to easily attainable goals.
