Women are Weak

And they Shouldn’t have equal Rights

Maybe it will get the attention

of a lot of people

and get this important message out



Are any of you old enough

to remember that mentality?


Do any of you remember
your mothers or grandmothers

talking about being

second class citizens?

For those of you

that aren’t old enough

to remember

Women couldn’t vote

they couldn’t own property

There was even a time when

It was acceptable

for their husbands to hit them



Does that sound familiar?


Does that sound like the way

that we treated the slaves?

 

I have a challenge

for all of you modern women

 

Go about your day today

And look at everything that you can do

Look at what you are capable of

That women years ago

Weren’t allowed to do

 

Now think about this

 

 

What would it be like

to be told that you

shouldn’t have those rights?


Over the years

women have become equal citizens

and rightly so

they deserve equality

and we as a society are

better off because of it.

 

One more thing to think about

 

How can you

after overcoming years

of unfair treatment

even consider

doing the same thing

to gay people

 

If you think that Gay people

don’t deserve rights

because the Bible says so

 

then look at what the Bible says about women

 

1 Timothy 2 (King James Version)

¹¹Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

 ¹²But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

 

Genesis 3 (King James Version)

 ¹⁶Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

 

Exodus 21:7-10 (King James Version)

 ⁷And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

 ⁸If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

 ⁹And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

I haven’t written any of this

to put down the Bible

I’ve written it to bring to light

that women are

looked at

as second class citizens in the Bible

 

How do we see those words

After we realize the value of women

In modern society?

In my opinion

We see them as old

And out dated

They have little to do with

How we see reality today.

In fact most people

Disregard them

As the old way

that things were done

yet

we look at the parts of the Bible

that place gay people

in a similar category

and we

accept it as Gods Law

 

Isn’t it time

That we look at the Bible’s

Ideas on Gay people

The same way

As we do with the Bible’s

Ideas on Women

 

and we accept

that

it was just the way

things were done

before people realized

the capabilities

of women and Gay people.
